As a former (lucky!) teacher of Tommy’s, I can only say how PROUD I am of this album! As I told Tommy, I find his pitch, phrasing and overall interpretation of this music impeccable ... but, knowing his talent as I do, I’m not surprised how GOOD this endeavor has turne out! Way to GO, "Tee-Ray!" :-)

Tommy, I only just recently gave your CD a spin. Knowing your penchant for Sarah Vaughan recordings, and partly because of the vintage mic on the cover, I was under the false assumption it is a compilation of jazz vocal standards. Boy was I wrong! It’s pop and blue-eyed soul, and done as well as you do everything else -- that is to say with perfection and passion. Are there no limits to your talent?
